Business valuation

The object of a business valuation is identifying the value of entire companies or individual parts of a company. This service is one of our core competences. Our approach and methods are oriented on the reason, targets and object of the valuation. Examples include:

  • Transaction-related valuations (Fairness Opinions)
  • Corporate-law restructurings
  • Valuations for financial reporting purposes (purchase-price allocation)
  • Tax valuations and family law disputes
  • Other valuations

Depending on the reason, purpose and client for the valuation, we can act for you in the role of a neutral (arbitrator / court) expert or as an expert witness / consultant. These criteria, as well as the question about the recipient(s) (internal / external, involving capital markets, for court purposes?) will also largely determine the (minimum) scope and the depth of our activities and thus also our reporting and documentation. This range extends from a so-called business value indication in a presentation style up to full, printed business valuation reports as per IDW S 1.
